It had been a long time since the battle of the clans had taken place. Almost a century since the last one. There was a time when they held these tournaments every year, but ever since the death of the Master Mage, no one had really been that eager to continue these events. However, it had been too long since any battles had happened, and the clans were getting a little antsy towards each other, wondering how much power the other clans had, and whether or not they could beat a certain clan in a war. So, the heads of the clans got together and decided that to keep the peace, a tournament would be held, and the winner would become the Master Mage.
The location was set. It was to take place in the middle of the desert, where no clan had any presence to help sway the results of the tournament. Tents were set up everywhere, servants brought ample food and water for their contestants, and one of the more powerful mages even cast a spell that turned a section of the desert into an oasis for bathing, and a fresh source of water. It didn't take long at all for the other clans to become jealous, so he quickly did the same for each clan, lest they see him as a threat and try to take him out of the competition early; some of the clans were fond of using poisons in their spells.
Each clan was to select three champions, and they were to compete in the tournament in several styles. First, it was to be a battle royal against all the other clans, then it was to be two verses two with randomly matched pairs, and finally one on one matches to decide who the best mage was. And so it was, that the great tournament started. Stay tuned to find out what happens!
(Heyo! Everyone, how ya doin'? Mmk, so it looks like no one guessed about my earlier game T_T If even one person guessed, I would have let them win, gosh, oh well, we'll have another competition time here in a little while when I figure something out. Oh! The answers for the different stories:
1) A group of warriors tries to rescue a princess from a dragon
2) An old mobster kinda setting where someone found dirt on someone, and the mob doesn't want them to know
3) This one is kinda stealing from star trek...
4) This one is a mage casting a spell, possibly for the first time (had to have at least one magical one in there, gosh!)
5) This one is kind of a post apocalyptic world setting, and someone dying (I also would have taken poisoned in the desert, most likely by a snake.)
6) Film Noir gumshoe type story
7) In this one, killer owls came in and killed/stole everything except for one person, who swore to get vengeance.
So there you have it, your hearts biggest yearning is now fulfilled. Anyway, sorry for the short short story today, but I gotta leave for work, anyway, have a great weekend, and I'll get something put up tomorrow sometime, laterz!)
