Well, well, well

It wasn't long after they released the spells of death, that they quickly smelled their way to the next group of mages duking it out.  Morgan, along with her teammates, watched from behind a small scattering of rocks, and she notched an arrow to her bow, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.  She was glad that these two clans were weakening each other, as they both seemed quite powerful.

Recalling the spells that she had previously absorbed, she decided to place one on her arrow, as it lay in wait, almost quivering with excitement to lay waste to her enemy.  It didn't take long for the correct moment to present itself.  "Fly," she whispered and let loose her arrow.  Flying straight into the middle of the combat, it went completely unnoticed, until it erupted in a giant ball of life draining magic.  The battle ensued as if she hadn't done anything.  I wonder if they realize that it wasn't just another one of their enemy's spells Morgan thought to herself.  Not that it would do them much good, they had been so weakened by the blast, that they were now visibly starting to breathe harder and curl up the way that old people do as they get older and have trouble keeping themselves upright.

"Now," Click gave the order to charge in.  Morgan, the sagittiferous member of the team, launched another arrow, this time directly aimed at a mage, and hit him in the leg.  Kots charged, leading the way while swinging his staff to intercept any incoming spells.  Morgan spotted one of the mages in the middle of casting a spell that didn't look like it was going to end well for the recipient.  "Not today," she muttered as she released a spell to keep him from moving.  His uneven positioning caused him to fall face first onto the sand.

The two clans were now more focused on Morgan and her clan than they were on each other, but two were already down for the count; one was being held by her spell, and the other just got walloped on by Kots' staff.  He was definitely going to wake up black and blue the next morning.

She ran over to the held mage, touched his outstretched arm, and drew his spells into herself, replenishing her dwindling spells.  She breathed a sigh of relief, for his spells weren't composed of any death magic.  Looking back at the battle, she could tell that Kots and Click had things well under control.  With the weakened state of the mages, it was much easier to resist their spells.

That's when Morgan lost the ability to move. She couldn't even move her eyes.  Fortunately her chest continued to rise and fall as her breathing continued, as it always had, but she could not chase after her team as they bounded after the two remaining mages.

Then there was nothing but darkness and a sharp pain in the back of her neck as she blacked out.

(Hey-o!  Cliffhanger!  Dun Dun Dun! *dramatic reverb*  How you all liking it so far?  Any comments, questions, concerns? Lemme know!  Another lost word here, see if you can figure it out :) Anyway, hope you all are enjoying your week, cuz you should, it's the only first full week of September of 2011 you're gonna get, so take advantage of it.  Laterz!)
